brake pipe

hi just about to fit my braided hose to the caliper and i found it to be a bit short, could do with a 90 degree bend out of my caliper is there anything out there to help??? and what is the best route to run the braided hose ??? through a suspension hole or should i drill a new hole instead???

You can get banjo adaptors like this

These look like a bodge to me, you really need brake hoses with banjo ends.

Alternatively you can do what Landrover did on classic rangerovers and have a 3" hardpipe with suitable ends and have an extra bracket on the caliper mounting bolt pointing where you want the hose to lie, you can just see the extra hard pipe in this picture

Personally I would have a chat with Russbot on here, he can make up to your exact requirements and send back what you have.

Regards Mark

Ive done mine as it would have been on the cortina with a short hard line to a bracket then the flexi. It lets me get the flexi closer to the pivot point meaning the flexi is pulled about less. Most just have the flexi into the caliper. If you want to go this way I would just get some longer ones. Buying the wrong bits is part of putting these togeather.

You want a seperate hole in the body work with a rubber grommet to stop it rubbing. You will need a bracket on the chassis where the flexi meets the hard line. Most vosa inspectors will no longer allow a big washer on the side panel.
