accelerator + Clutch cables?

One of my next jobs is to sort out the gas and clutch cables.

Now TBH i don't have a clue really how im supposed to do this? or what sort of cable Etc to use.

The engine is a 2008 R1 in a Indy R.

So if anyone can give me some tips or/and images that would be great.

cheers

For the clutch cable I managed to use the original R1 cable but with a solderless nipple at the pedal end. For the throttle I used a bicycle gear cable with a solderles nipple at one end to adjust the length. I did start off with a brake cable but the gear one was better around the tight bend at the throlle body.

i've just redone both of these jobs.

venhill universal cable from ebay for the clutch
and a mac1 bec throttle cable from ebay

maybe cheaper options but this was no fuss, took all of 20 minutes and gave me 2 new cables not too worry about

Thanks, so are these the right ones?

clutch:
NEW VENHILL UNIVERSAL CLUTCH CABLE MOTORCYCLE TRIALS | eBay

Throttle: BEC Throttle Cable, Kit Car , Westfield, MAC#1, MNR | eBay

Is there anything else that would be needed?

anyone got any pictures of how its connected to the actual pedals?

Cheers

That's the same Venhill cable I used. I wouldn't use anything else after having other universal cables play up.

ok i have recieved the venhill cable, but not sure how to install it.

ive got the nipple on the one end of the cable going onto the clutch lever, then ive slided the outer onto the inner.

now does the outer actually attatch to the inner somehow? or does it just stay loose?

and how does the cable adjuster work?

does anyone have any pics or diagrams that would help, as i just can't work out how its ment to fit.

cheers
