Fury IRS rear coilovers
Hi
Just removed the rear coilovers from my 1.8 Zetec Fury as one of them is faulty. I am trying to get a new pair to replace them but SPAX are saying
they are a discontinued coilover and are wanting £400 to make up a pair to match. Anybody know where I might get a cheaper pair of coilovers?? They
measure 44cm from the bottem of the damper to the top of the spring.

I have exactly the same coilovers on my fury
. Speak to Steve at fury sports cars I'm sure he can help. Can not remember exactly but I'm sure the coilovers are the fronts on a mk2
golf !

Thanks for the fast response, I will call Fury tomorrow and confirm the correct replacements. Did a quick search for Golf Mk II coilovers but all I
can find is complete kits, no option to buy just the fronts.

You say they are faulty, what's wrong ? Can spax not repair? Surely a re-Valve and new seals is cheaper than new units. other wise rally design
will match them up.

The drivers side coilover must have been removed at some time and then replaced with the top mounting bracket on the wrong way round. The adjustment
on the damper is just spinning with no clicking. I did email SPAX and they only offered to make up a pair to the original specs??? If they definately
are Golf Mk2 front coilovers I will try and source a new set for hopefully a lot less than £400, I've got all winter to find them.
