Pro set up

Been in workshop all day with a pro susspension/chassis set up guy,

best money i ever spent on a car, still a few changes to make B4 it goes out to race, when there done he's coming with me and in his words "if i cant finf you 4 secs a lap you can have it for free"

How much would 4 secs cost by looking for power from the engine ?

Dont miss out on the performance of your car, get it set up properly..............

sounds like a bargain. Don't fancy chaining him up and passing him around do you? We could occasionally give him bread and water in exchange for faster cars.

I believe it's a rather silky GT1.

Mind telling us a bit about the process?

No need to be specific, but did he have you change springs, etc.? Were the differences from your initial setup surprising?

drove home in a totaly different car to that i went in.

Weigh me, ballast drivers seat.
undoe anti roll bars
then a process of check adjust, check adjust over n over again toe, castor, camber, corner weights, ride height.

Recomended totaly diff spring rates, different anti roll bars, all have wich i aqm sorting then back for more of same then off to track to test, the difference was night and day before and after and he assures me there is more to come, with springs n roll bars.

Sounds like a rolling road for your suspension.

The car gurus go on and on about the importance of a quality setup, and it's interesting hearing from someone who's actually done it!

Thanks,

Pete

The amount adustability of the car was only possible due to it been fully rose jointed rather than bushed, but it's got to be worth getting the optimum out of your car regards available adjustability if that makes sense, defo worth getting the corner weights and any other adjustments as close to optimum as poss,
