connecting master cylinder
i have just picked up another master cylinder (capri), now, i have taken off the servo, but i can't see any obvious ways of connecting what i
have together.
How have people connected their cylinder (like the sierra one), to the pedal, in particular the metal rod that pushes into the cylinder.

Its called the pushrod, some are adjustable via threads in the middle to allow you to allign the pedals in the footwell, It *should* pull out from
inside the car in the footwell once you have undone it from the pedal.
Or alternatively make yourself one

I took one from a Sierra servo unit. I'm using a sierra pedal-box and if you turn the rod round 180 degrees from its normal application and file
the end, it's a very snug fit. Photos on my site.

chris are you just using a pedal stop to stop the push rod from falling out?

You use a piece of tube as a pedal stop and weld a strip to it with a hole in for the brake light switch
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I did as Mark Allanson did and put a bolt through the second brake light switch hole. You can just see it poking out in front of the pedal in the
second picture
Mark's also just posted a photo which has got a better view of the bolt than mine.
Mark used his push-rod the right way round. I turned mine the wrong way as it makes the distance between the pedal and MC slightly longer.

anyone has one left over please let me know

Be careful, I have two types and only one of them fits.
The first image shows the first one I bought. This is the one that dosen't fit. The second image shows the one that I got with my Donor. This
one does fit.

I'm working on a PDF that explains the mods I made. It's been in the pipeline for a couple of weeks now and may take a couple more to
finish off. If you're interested in having a look when it's done, go to my site and stick your email address in the box on the main page.
You'll get a mail each time the site's updated and can cancel them whenever you like.
