Tyre Width Mistake?
Have I made a stupid mistake....?
I have Toyo T1R tyres for my 15" wheels.
Front: 7j with 195/50/15
Rear: 8j with 205/50/15
Are the rear tyres too narrow??!
I'm thinking 215/45 would be better...

The 205/50's?
Toyo site suggests the approved rim width is 5.50-6.5-7.50

Yes they are too narrow IMO, will give quite a stretched look.
215 45 will be ok.
Good guidance here: http://www.astraownersclub.com/tyresize.php

Won't it look stupid having stretched rears and normal fronts?!

It's a bit stretched, and you would have been better off with narrower, lighter rims but it will work ok.

225 are perfect on 8" rims, 205 will be a stretch for sure but they will fit.

Some amazing stretches have been achieved

I'm looking on another stretch tyre site but it seems 205/50 on a 8j rim is not extreme enough for anyone to do......which is nice!

Got them fitted and they are fine. The stretch is hardly noticable!
