Rod end n transit drop link nut size
Me being super excited while stripping my front end down I have thrown the track rod end nut in the bolt box... 1500 m8, m10,m12 etc nuts n
bolts....
Also I threw in the transit drop link bolt.
Can someone tell me what the nuts are so I can grab some while I'm out.....
Please n thanks
I assume they are 1/2 unf as my metric nuts don't fit the escort rod end..
David

I think the OP is looking for a nut for the taper.................. the nuts on the taper the threads of which vary between the various
aftermarket manufacturers. It could be a Unified Thread Inch (nb Imperial is something else) or more likely a metric thread of a finer or
coarser pitch. You need to measure the dia meter accurately and use a thread gauge to find the pitch.

Best option is to take a drag link coupling with you and try the nut at the supplier. I've had them with various thread configurations.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

ooops sorry, yep i see the error of my ways now, i did as already suggested and took mine to the bolt shop, i did get a few spares, i could post you a
couple out but as has already been said, there is sometimes difference in thread depending on where they are from.
