peddle box ect
Hi, i'm builing a locost and i'm having some problems with the peddal box and surround. could someone email me with how they did
their's. I found that mine is very heavy, especially the back plate and would certainly not be suitable for competing in races. Thanks for
your help..

you dont need a box as such, unless you need to move it. i just welded pedal brackets straight to the chassis.

Can you post a picture of your's? That might be more helpful.

sorry mate, camera phones in for repairs for a few weeks.
clutch and throttle cables are simple, just make a 4 or 5 to 1 pivot pedal, a bracket from 25x3mm strip, and tack it in place. Then use some 19mm
round tube to hold the cable outer in place. a bit of fiddling later, voila!
i made my brake pedal top mounted, to make it easier to get the MC at the right angle. The others are bottom mounted.

Simonsmith should post a pic of what he's talking about. That might help us both. I'm finishing my pedals this W/E, so perhaps I could
post some pics--if interested.

Make your own- they'll be a fraction of the weight and can be bottom mounted so you make better use of otherwise wasted space in the car.
