I was gonna suggest getting an axle (105 Alfa gtv) standard with LSD and 108 pcd, that's what I've used, but as your already set up with
atlas and would need prop re making it probably isn't worth changing, but they are a good strong axle for around £350 with LSD, although you
would have to have an extra plate or two added to make the LSD work. That's what I've done and it good strong and cheap.
there's one on ebay, but too low geared at 4.5:1 and it may have the thinner 1600 half shafts also its £600. Not sure what the gripper diff is
?

Hi Jacko,
appreciate the suggestion, but as you've already said. Swopping axles at this stage will not only mean the need for a prop change I will also
need to start looking at fabbing new mounts etc which isn't an option for me unfortunately.
I'm pretty much resigned to saving up the money to buy the LSD off the supplier I've already found - think I'll start taking the car
apart this weekend then I've no excuse for spending money on fuel !

Bit the bullet. The axle is out and at the gearbox place to have the LSD fitted. Gone for a refurbed zf plate diff.
Roll on next weekend!
