Mazda RX8 Diff?

As I have a whole RX8 donor, I guess I could rearrange the diff mounts on the Quantum to accept the Mazda 'Super-LSD' unit (their terminology - not mine!). A fairly cheap solution for a slippy-diff.

Or, I could just leave the Sierra diff in place and save my pennies for a Quaife unit... one-day... in the dim-distant future!

Thing is, I don't know much about the RX8 diff. I've read that it differs from the norm in that it has a conical clutch-pack, but that's about it.

Does anyone know if it's worth attempting, or would a Seven-a-like be a bit too lightweight for it to function the way it was intended?

I'm fitting the mk3 MX5 diff to my car, which is the same unit (different ratio - the RX8 ratio is a bit wild, 4.4?), as the '5 uses the '8 rear subframe and suspension.
It's a type of torque-sensing unit, so it should work better than a 30 year old viscous unit.
