Driveshaft angle at maximum extension

What should I be expecting from my driveshafts when the car is up in the air? I'm just putting the back end together, and by the looks of it when the suspension is at full travel (up on axle stands), the driveshaft is pretty much horizontal. So I guess when it's loaded up the driveshaft outboard end will be higher than inboard.

I just did a quick measurement, the dampers go from 10-13 inches. I wonder whether it's just my change of design that's causing it.

It's only a couple of inches of movement so the driveshafts will be almost horzontal maybe very slightly higher on the outer..

Very good point, I should have realised that anyway by the fact the coilover only has 3 inches of travel!

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds OK, there's not much travel and a bit of misalghment stops the balls wearing a groove in the CV joint.

Just think of all the changes a fwd car goes through with all the weight throwing the front around and all the steering input.
