front cortina disc brakes
Hi all
would someone know where i can get the bolts that hold on the caliper to the brake, i can get them but they are very expens ive they seem to be 7/16 x
12 mm and 40mm including the head

If you know the exact bolt you need, I highly recommend Arun Fastners near Arundle.

I'm not sure I understand what size they are exactly from the above...
imperial bolt lengths will be in inches rather than mm and bolt lengths never include the thickness of the head
also the pitch of the threads is measured as the number of threads per inch
I guess these are either UNF bolts with 20tpi
or UNC bolts with 14tpi
you can use that to workout exactly what the bolt is which will make it easier to shop around

From Mk 3 Cortina on, Ford insisted on suppliers working in metric units. So the caliper threads should also be metric. Furthermore, these bolts
should also be high tensile steel, 8.8 grade.
