Clutch fluid level sensor

Do I need a clutch fluid level sensor in the same sense as I need the brake fluid level sensor for SVA ? Anyone with hydraulic clutch passed without one ?

Im thinking of using a three way reservoir with integral level sensor from car builder solutions, and get three master cylinders without reservoirs.

The thing is I already have three brand new master cylinders with their own integral tanks how annoying...

Anyone have any other suggestions ?

James

good point, though the hydraulic clutch pedal box i bought doesn't have a sensor on the resovoir it came with. i think it's only the brakes but am happy to be wrong..

Don't worry about it.

You'll know when the fluids gone. It's not a requirement if that's what you mean and if you do have one don't link it to the brake warning light.

So would it be a fail if I had it connected to the same resevoir as the brakes you think ? I cant see it doing any harm.

Or rather than getting a three way resevoir and blocking off the third exit (will look odd), do you know where I can get a twin exit one ? DAX as usual want something daft like £65 plus VAT for theirs...

Oh, and a cheap supply of reservoir-less cylinders would be useful aswell ! or its another £56 plus P+P from car builder solutions place.

Thanks

James

Sorry I meant integral reservoir less cylinders. If you look here :

http://www.nfauto.co.uk/master_cylinders.htm

I will need two of the top ones. I currently have three of the bottom ones.

How much are the twin exit reservoirs from Luego ?

Most of the big manufacturers already have provision for single fluid reservoirs on their production cars (brake and clutch from one reservoir.) all you need to do is to look closely at the mastercylinders and look for an extra fluid out/of pipe (used for clutch OR sealed for cable opperation or automatic box).

Enjoy
