Brake disc sizes
Hi all
I've decided on my calipers for my new build however I have a plethora of options for my front discs. Ranging from 240 solid up to 300 mm
vented. Car is 600 ish kilos minus me and 250 bhp. I had kinda settled on 247mm vented but then think would the 285mm vented option be better? Am not
overly fussed on saving every gram of weight, more important to get the best suited for the car. I had probably settled on 15 inch wheels.

how are you planning to use the car?
track, road etc
do you have a servo?
what rear brakes are you looking at?

Good questions
No servo.
I'd say a 75/25 split in favour of road use.
Rears are going to be hispec golf calipers with 240mm solid discs.
Mintex m1144 pads.
