Sierra steering alignment
So the Indy I bought came with a small OMP steering wheel and quick release boss that I wanted to change. The steering boss has two sets of holes on
slightly different PCD's, unfortunately the Momo wheel I've got fits the holes that are offset i.e. 30 degrees. No problem I thought, a
couple of splines round on the steering boss but turns out the steering column is a hex, so is there an easy fix to this that's something
I'm missing?
Many thanks,
Dan

Re-align it on splined UJ further down the column I'd say, or re-track on rack.

Yup, as Nick said, you can re-align the spline down at the UJ (or mine does anyway)

It is splined at the rack. Just turn it there a couple of splines.

Once the steering wheel is fixed and the column is disconnected at the spline joint. Check that the rack is centralised by measuring the length of
the track rod ends from the rack housing. When they measure the same the rack is centralised. Steering wheel in the straight ahead position and
connect the column using the nearest spline. Any slight adjustment can be made at the track rod ends to ensure that the steering wheel remains at the
straight ahead position.

Thanks for all the advice. Had a look today, the track rods are equal (and painted over), it's just the rack that needs adjusting. Will change
it at the rack splines next time I can and then I intend to have a geometry setup later in the year so will get it bob on then.
Cheers.
