Locost Diff Oil
Hi all,
Please can someone recommend the best diff oil to use on a 1.3 Xflow - locost race car, and where to purchase it from.
I've got a track day coming up and would like to top it up beforehand.
Thank you for you help.

Live axle should use EP 90 gear oil IIRC?

Thanks for the replay.
Would Halfords version be suitable?

Check the bottle, they usually have recommended for Ford , Peugeot etc on the bottle.
Any gear oil will do as long as it's the correct viscosity.
Thing to check is if it's not getting to hot

Not just any gear oil it has to be an EP (Hypoid) GL-5 gear oil ---- EP90 or EP80/90 or EP75-90
EP gear oils have a high percentage extreme pressure additives to deal with the higher contact pressures in hypoid final drives.
This differs from normal sae 90 or 80/90 or 75/90 grade GL-4 gear oils used in gearboxes.
