MK II Escort Steering Rack

Been offered one, reconditioned, for £50 + VAT and a surcharge of £20 + VAT for not having an exchange.

Does anyone think this is too dear???

id say it is quite steep, if its new, then its not too bad, and it depends on how soon you need it.
if you can afford to wait a while, keep an eye open on ebay - i got a brand new one for £50 inc. postage (but the rubber mounts were £25ish)
all the best
Tom

What's the standard ratio of the Mk2 Escort rack?
Cheers,

I think I'll wait as it's excessive I think!!

I wouldn't mind but I asked the guy a price and he ordered it in instead!! Same day delivery and he's got the part expecting me to buy!! I think I'll tell him to swivel - for now!! ;-)

This is where I bought mine, you'll be better off if you can find a knackered one for a replacement.

They accepted a MK111 rack as a replacement from me

I'm interested

Did they come with the splined connector bit that attaches to the pinion?? Seems they are either solid or UJs. I'm in need of either!

PM me if willing to seel the bit!!

--Thanks, Chris
