How to tell a 1300 from a 1600 Crossflow Sump
Hi,
I have a lone XFlow sump which was never with an engine. Rear bowl but how can I distinguish a 1600 from a 1300?
Thanks in advance
Mike

The 1600 will have relief flutes down one side for the rods to clear....

From memory and it is starting to go a 1300 sump the sides are straight down from the bolt holes to the bottom of the pan and the 1600 has a bulge in
the sides just below the bolt hols, this was so the rods missed the sides. Also im sure the sump was a fraction deeper to

The 1600 version is deeper - the crankshaft will hit the 1300 one (don't ask how I know... )
There are a few pictures of my 1600 sump here, where I describe how I shortened it for my car.
Maybe you can get some clues from them.

Thanks, Really helpful! Makes me think it's a 1300 version

I have just posted my version of a lowered sump for the 1300 Locost. I have done several of these and they seem to work....It is in my album but not
sure how to make it appear on here,,,
