Tyres?
Hi all,
I need new rear tyres on my Haynes. Currently running Toyo Proxes R1R 195/50R15 - however it appears I cant buy these anymore on blackcircles! Does
anyone have a recommendation for a good replacement make/model? Intended usage is mainly road, with the occasional track-day.
Thanks!
Josh

eBay has them listed no 123710767925
Or you could look at Yokohama Ad08R’s
Luego velocity XT 2.0ltr 221.3bhp 178.9lbft

Stockists are not being supplied with R1Rs and AD08Rs by the manufacturers until Toyo and Yokohama start producing an updated tyre conforming to EU
classification 'E' for fuel economy (they are 'F' rated currently).
R888Rs should be available (via Demon Tweeks). I have gone for Federal 595 RS-Rs which seem to perform admirably (road use only). An alternative would
be Nankang NS2R.
I found talking to Camskill very informative and bought the Federals off them.
Michael.

For gods sake are they being forced to make all tyres fuel efficient now?

I’ve put some Falkens on mine from Demon Tweeks. I’ve not given it a good caning as yet but feels good so far.

Plenty available on Ebay
I put AD08R's on mine recently and they are superb in both wet and dry conditions - think I read somewhere they use the same compound as
048R's but with a less track focused tread pattern
Sigs are uncool.

Highly rated tyre but only available with minimum rim size of 17" - a less usual 'Seven' wheel size. OP was looking to replace his
15" Proxes.

Don't talk to me about age. When I were a lad we used to sit about waiting for someone to invent the wheel!
