Quick Relase boss replacement - any tips ?
I am going to replace the quick boss on the MNR Vortx steering column.
I am not going to weld it personaly, as I have no experience, but want to prepare all parts so the welder has easier job.

Thi is the old bos and the new one.
Problem is that the steering column end is 19mm diamerter, so is the bearing in this aluminium sleeve. The boss diameter (both) is 20mm. So cant take
the column shaft out from the aluminium part and bearing in it for welding. (in fact trying to I destroyed the bearing so there will be new on or
maybe good idea will be to use nylon sleeve 20mm internal diameter so it goes over the boss , but thewre will be some play between 19mm column shaft
end and the sleeve... )

Does someone has any tips / tricks how to center the new boss after cutting the old one on such small piece of coulmn protruding over the bearing ?
(current boss has destroyed splines, and seems to be not exactly in line with the centerline of the column).
So - hope to hear any tips of the methods You were doing similar job?
