Sierra rear hubs resistance

How much resistance to turn should there be in a sierra rear bolt on hub?? Not fully torqued them up yet as on axle stands but already difficult to rotate by hand

Absolutely correct. 285Nm of tightness on the nut, normally one side Left hand thread, one side Right hand thread. Normally I would use a long (stiff/rigid metal) lever (ie a 3ft tyre lever) using two studs and the hub spigot as a reaction lever points, to torque against, so that you KNOW you are not moving the vehicle when torquing that tight.

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.
