The fit of polybushes
I am probably going to use 50x50x3mm box to make all the suspension brackets. This gives an internal max length of 44mm for the bush.
The poly bushes i'm thinking of using are designed to fit into brakets 46mm or 40mm internaly. can I get away with using 2 2mm washers either
side of the crush tube or would this allow the crush tube to slip.
The alternative would be to make longer (or shorten the 46mm) crush tubes.
Your thoughts on the matter please.
ps. I have not yet made the tubes/wishbones that the bushes fit into so the length of this tube is changeable.

I did wonder about this and thought that when i get round to building that a couple of washers either side of the front top wishbone bushes would
allow mfor some castor adjustment if it was required. If u use washers that have the same inside dia as the crush tubes you should be ok
should'nt you. I am presumming that the crush tubes should be tight between the walls of the brackets.

Either deflect the bracket out by 2mm or in by 4mm to suit.

it will be fine with washers as long as they are the same internal diameter as the crush tubes

I found some bushes that are a perefct fit and OD. the bushes from landrover front panhard rod. There 44mm long 26/7mm diameter (the example i found
was well used) and cost about 80p in rubber.
The bad news know. polybush equiverlant cost £15 per pair.
£135 poly bush set any body.

MK poly bushes
MK bush set fits the 50x50x3 box section perfectly. I have them and bush tube from them as well. No need to hunt round for compatible stuff that way.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Thats interesting, I phoned MK about the size of there bushes about a week ago, I didn't get much of an answer except for the bushes OD, and
that didn't seem very positive.
I might of just caught the wrong person at the wrong time tough given the faverable comments i've seen about MK on this site.
