Mo' history

I remember the first time I heard the term Positive Offset.

It was a Honda commercial on TV (for the first Accord, I think) that was making a big deal about how the car would continue straight with a flat front tire - because of the Positive Offset built into the wheels (as if they'd invented it).

Sounds like the guy is grasping at straws to be honest. Any car wheel made within the last 20 years or so will have an offset measured from the center of the rim to the mounting face, so for a given rim width, the larger the offset, the less the wheel sticks out.
