Equal Sierra track front and rear

I've tried to find old topics to cover this but have only found part solutions. I also realise this is similar to another new thread started today (http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=22750), but that one uses a +4 chassis so forgive me if we're going over old ground (see also http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=22733 )

I want to use standard width chassis (ease of bodywork) with a de-dion set up (ease of LSD at later date) and would like equal (or v close) track front and rear.

Now I hear MK do longer wishbones but that they take Sierra uprights, I've got Cortina. Is there a Cortina version around or do I make my own ?

Also I was hoping to use the Cortina steering rack, Is this suitable ?

Alternatively just to really open up the options is there a narrow de-dion available as I don't mind shortening driveshafts. But then I'm short of a rack !

Finally (TFFT they say) how do I insert thread links in short form. eg "click here" etc.

I think several of the companies will make you wide track wishbones suitable for cortina uprights if you ask nicely enough. I think it has been mentioned on here before. Remember its only the top wishbone that needs to be different if using cortina rather than sierra uprights.

I am hoping to use cortina uprights on a wide track (sierra) car. So will have to ask nicely for some wishbones to suit. I am hoping to build a GTS, but i havent asked Darren yet if he could do this...

Worth speaking to Darren at GTS, I did, because I wanted to go narrow track de-dion (I don't really like the look of the wide track cars). he was very helpful and said he would consider doing a narrow de-dion, as he was doing one anyway for the challenger.

I ended up going ST independent (although I would rather have had de-dion) because I already had too many other projects on and wanted something off-the-shelf!
