Sierra steering column bolts
Anyone know what size bolts I'll need this weekend to fasten my Sierra steering column to it's new fixings?
It's the ones for the holes arrowed that I need, thanks.

I'm sure it's 10 or 12mm (I'll look tonight).
Conrod's right about the washers - they're about 25 - 30mm dia and about 3 or 4 mm thick.
Note that whatever the bolt size is, it's a fair bit smaller than the hole. I believe the idea is to do it up tight (hence the thick washers). In
the event of a bad smash the steering column can slip in the over-size holes and start the collapsing process.

Fortunately I retained the original bolts and they are M10 (smug grin). You also need to retain the bushes though which I didn't (not so smug).
However you can use the spacers from the seat belt anchors which are the right OD and ID (but a tad long) so they need cutting back about 5 mm then it
all fits. Fortunately I retained these (smug again).
You'll also need new M10 nuts and four large washers of cause.
I can provide a pic if need be.
