Coilovers from GTS

I've been looking at the GTS Coilover shocks and wondered if anybody out there is using them ? I (will) have a book built chassis with a bit of extra tubing to stiffen the front, 1300 X-Flow, and due to lack of info lengthened lower wishbones (rather than shorter top one's - using Sierra hubs)

No offense to GTS (Very happy with parts supplied recently) but because they are not adjustable for Damping I need to get as much info as possible before laying out the biggest single cost of my locost.

I'm aiming for under £1500 what are my chances ???

I am using a book chassis with an injection Pinto, I have just ordered a set from Darren, the damping may be set, but with everything else adjustable, its just one more thing you dont have to worry about, Darren certainly seems to know his stuff.

As for price, I have spent about £600 so far plus the shocks at £232 = £832ish, I need to buy seats and belts and tyres, your budget of £1500 seems very viable if you don't go mad on buying everything new

Hi Macbrew,

The only comfort i can give you on the shocks front without you actually trying them out yourself is that i have sold nearly 400 of them over the last two years and haven't heard a single bad word about them yet. Which is strange because the internet does seem to breed very critical people and i'm sure the net would be full of bad press should there be anything bad about the shock kit.

It sounds like your car is very typical to the sort of car my shock kit is used on all round the world.

Kind regards,

Darren

Hi Darren,

Having looked around this forum a bit it sounds like you know your stuff and 80 squids for a knob I'll probably turn once seems a bit much. Permission from the boss is granted so I'll be in touch shortly.
