axle rebuild

i have just baught a mk 1 capri rear axle and escort 4.125 diff i would like to strip it and check the bearings etc but have no info on putting it back together lol.
would this be coverd in the owners manual or does anyone know of a www that covers it thanks. colin

It is an english type rear axle (same as in the escort) I believe. There should be a few guides around.

yes its the same as the escort i am building it up for use in the 750 locost but google didnt turn up anything other than genaral info

Okay, I think it will probably be in the haynes manual. It's a worthwhile investment if only for the pictures, and will come in useful for the rest of your build.
