which tires
Next week I wanne get me some new tires voor my scratch build car. But I’ve don’t have any idea which tire the best is for an locost type of car.
The tires must be 195/50/15, have good grip and produce minimum noise. The car will only be use on road, not track. Also the tires must look cool.
Like for example:
Toyo proxis T1
Nankang Ns-2-f
Who can recommend some?
Greets Roy.

I have not failed once. I have successfully found ways that will not work!

Another recommendation for the Yoko 539's ... great tyres for a light car like a locost, and (relatively) inexpensive. I think they've
been updated and renamed 520's now.
If you really want very cool looking then you can move up to things like the Yoko A032R or maybe the A048 ... however, these are really road-legal
racing tyres, and seriously compromised in the wet. They're also VERY soft compound, so they will wear out fast too.
Unless you are only going to drive it in the dry, the 539/520's are a much better option.
Cheers

I don't know,I have medium compound A048R tyres and they have done nearly 3000 miles including 5 track days. Fronts still have 4mm tread on them
and the rears have about 2.5mm. They're OK in the wet but not in standing water, But to be honest are you going to be thrashing the car in the
wet anyway ? (or driving it at all ?).
They stick like glue in the dry though
