the problem is that the rear chassis bottom rail is only about 1/2" clear of the axle the car was bought part built so the rear shock assembly
has all been put in by someone else i was thinking of putting shorter springs in but then i would have very little clearance to the top of the wheel
arch the only other solution i can think of is putting in an A frame round the axle but i don't fancy changing the chassis as it could weaken it
in the event of a rear impact well the biggest headache is that if i lift the rear of the car i can easily drop the axle on the bottom chassis rail
(the car is unladen with only a pinch of petrol in the tank)
