help needed with GTS polybush bolt and sleeve dimensions
i think all suspension joints must fit just right and not have play right? i mean, a bolt should not rattle inside a bush and etc, etc..
i'm about to get the steel tube to fit iside the polybushes i got from GTS. the problem i cant get over is the dimensions.
does it have to be a 20mm tue to fit "interference type" or less?
how is the wishbone supposed to rotate along the bracket if such tube is a tight fit in the PU bushes and the bushes itself are a tight fit in the
wishbones? do i have to put washers at the ends of the bushes?
i was thinking on getting 20mm diameter by 4mm wall tube so a 12mm bolt can fit.
is that ok for these bushes? i will go to get this tomorrow so i would really appreciate any help on this...
thanks!!

bit of a can of worms your into here.
basically my understanding is....
the tube is a "crush tube" and should be slightly longer than the bush it sits in..
the crush tube should be nipped tight between the two side of the bracket.
the moving part is the bush around the crush tube.
i;m sure someone will correct me if i;m wrong.

ok so the crush tube should have some play inside the bush?
hence the need to lubricate the crush tube correctly so the bush doesnt wear out?
so if the internal diameter of the bush is 18mm, i should get, say, a 17mm crush tube?

They need to be a sliding fit, so a difference of not much at all.

They might need a quick once over with a bit of sand paper or similar if they are a little tight.

rayward is spot on
I fitted the nylon inserts 'dry' in to the wishbones then I put some grease on the crush tube when I inserted them in to the bushes and
that was it.
Next step to put them on the chassis, again fully tighted against the crush tube.
Hope this helps
