lsd conversion

Ive just bought a 3.38 diff, Im currently running a 3.62lsd, I need to convert the 3.38 to lsd, Does anybody know how to do this??

Essentially you remove the LSD centre, take off the 3.62 crownwheel, put on the 3.38 crownwheel, and put it in the 3.38 case. That way you dont upset the shimming of the 3.38 pinion and crownwheel.

do I keep my 3.62 bolt on shafts?

You'll find you need to use the bolt on flanges from the 3.62 when you assemble your hybrid diff, as they are different to non-LSD flanges. But the driveshafts themselves are just the same. Essentially you are only changing the diff case, crownwheel and pinion.

This is all received knowledge by the way, I haven't actually had to do the conversion myself!
