Sierra Rear Calipers - removing handbrake

Hi Chaps,

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the arm that activates the handbrake on the sierra rear calipers? I could just cut it off but if I can take it apart in a way that could be put back together later that would be better!

Ta, James

Yes, I think it could be done, I had it out when i did my calipers to replace the seals. The shaft that connects the handbrake lever to the piston would need to remain in place as it has an 'O' ring in place which seals the back of the caliper.

Hope this helps.
