Engine paint or caliper paint? 2 pack or the single 10 quid tins?

Was that aimed at me?
If so, yes, engine enamel. It worked pretty well on the engine so thought I'd give it a try and IIRC it works up to 250°C as well which I expect
will be enough for me!
Because my callipers are new they only needed a clean with cellulose thinners so that may have helped. The carriers were a different story and having
'tooled' them to get the excessive rust off I then used celly' again to clean them.

It was aimed at you, since you said engine paint for painting calipers, I was puzzled.
presumably different stuff.

recon your problem lays with the fact you have prepared the surface, cos i had a tin of the red halfords stuff, painted it strait over rust and crap
and it was great!!! and went hard in a hour at most.
but for finish id recomend the 2pack stuff halfords do, i used the black stuff to tidy up my calipers on the normal car and its really good stuff....
but around 20quid as someone said. hammerite is common to use, the calipers dont get THAT hot!!
