Tyre Advice

I have 15 inch Bridgestone Potenza S-03 tyres on TSW Evo wheels at the mo. I've got to be honest, I'm wondering whether they are right for the car. Everything I've read indicates these should be the nuts, but I wonder if the car is too light for them? You tend to get them on much heavier cars e.g. TVRs.

Trouble is I've nothing to compare them to. Obviously I lose traction off the line, but they don't give me that much confidence in the bends either. I wonder if I'm expecting too much?

Any advice?

The best way IMHO is to go to a trackday with some mates. Go out, do a session on your tyres. Come in, swap tyres with a mate, go out again.

Back to back is going to be the only reliable way of testing like that, with same track, conditions etc.

To save Zilspeed the bother, you really should consider the swap to 13" wheels with R888's on.

Pressures will also make a massive difference, I can notice 16 - 17psi with a massive change in how it drives and how confidence inspiring it is, same with damping and ride height.

Cheers fellas. A mate did a track day at Lydden at the weekend. Have decided to book up the next one in August.
