mc sorley rear axle

hi
has anyone built a mc sorley 42 not the four seater thing in the uk
im just wondering what axle you might use as the sight is in the us it oly lists us donors
as i have a mk 2 escort i was wondering about using some wacking great spacers and a different offset wheel say et 10-15 rather then the 50 odd of ford and spacers to make up the rest if i uprate the bearings should be safe lol

I believe the Cortina axle is wider. What about a Capri?

Ford Cortina is good, so you can have 4 wheels with the same pitch on the wheel nuts.

As said ^^ Capri or Cortina is the way to go if you need live axle, but to space out the excort axle to fit would be a real bearing killer
I'm (as are most other 442 builders IMO)using a Sierra IRS which is perfect

Cheers

Alex
