No problems using the all-aggro cables. I used one on my mk4 axle.

OK Dave. So I've got the cables; which way round does it go, normally the clevis pin end would go to the handbrake lever that comes out of the back plate but the mk 3 Cortinas not like that! the cable outer locates in a hole in the back plate. Do I have to modify in some way like remove the clevis fitting or what. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

If you whip off the brake drum, you should find that the cable clevis fits straight onto the mechanism. I didn't have a problem with mine (except for making a link from the quadrant to the handbrake lever).

It also doesn't help that the later Corblimey had a lever sticking out of the back of the backplate for the cable.

Let's know how you get on.

I got a new cossie cable set and it matches up to the sierra rear calipers just right, just needs shortening.
Must admit i've not even looked at the allagro set.

Yeah, sounds easier. All-agro cable fits, better for shoter wheelbases.

six-and-two-threes really
