What size wheel studs

Hi,

What size are you guys using on cortina hubs?

I ask as I have just pulled studs through my hubs for the first time (as they were new the hole needed slightly expending) the studs i have are 65mm and they seem very long I put 10mm spacers behine my sierra build wheels to stop the tread sticking out past the wheel. Should i get the next size down? as I intend on getting new studs as i dont know if i over stressed the studs pulling them through the hub and dont want to risk them sheering for the couple of £ new ones are

oh my uprights are rally design ali replacement with ali hubs

Cheers

I had to shorten the front wheel studs on my MNR ali hubs as the shortest stud was still too long for the wheel nuts I had supplied with my Team Dynamics wheels.

I didnt think you could cut them as they are tempered and cutting would reduce the streangth?
