Chassis height from floor
Hi guys,
After playing around with my chassis, I am just wondering what height the chassis should be off the ground roughly at the front and rear? My car will
be used mainly for trackdays and hillclimbs, but might be on the road aswell, but what is the best height for handling? At the moment mine is very
close to the ground and i just have bars where the springs will go but because it is so low the wishbones are at a bad angle and want to see what the
will sit like when it is the correct height off of the ground.
Thanks Mark

Or jack the car up until the wishbones are level and measure from floor?

Mine started at 4.5" rear, 4" front, I am now down to 3.5" rear 3" front for the track, its makes a big difference.
I have 13" wheels with 185/60 tyres BTW.

Yeah im running 13's aswell, about 215/55/13's on the back and 185/55/13's on the front or there abouts.
I dont know how well the suspension was made up when whoever built it so I want to get it to the correct height and then adjust the mounting brackets
depending on how they look. Ill have a look at those figures guys, thanks very much.
Cheers Mark
