Where to get Master Cyinder seal kitl
Hoping you guys can help me out. I need to rekit the master brake master cylinder fitted to our locost, its from a 1991 Sierra safire 18.00cc and the
normal place i get brake stuff say they cannot get one. I am informed i have the ATE one, with three outlets and because it has FORD cast into it and
8 mm fixings bolts.
Anyone know where i can get a seal kit ?

I dont think you can get seal kits any more as the EU have banned them. You need to get the master cylinder refurbished by a
'professional'
If you look really hard some kits are still available but officially they cannot be sold to the 'general public'

Ford still sell seal kits to anyone, available in 2 days and priced at £34 for one type and £36 for the other for my 1986 2.0 sierra cylinder. (Evans
Halshaw Cardiff)
i would advise new cylinder though at about £46 posted from brakeparts.co.uk I think, that's what I did, not worth the potch

Having been in the same situation recently, it depends on which type of master cylinder you have. I tried Ford, Brakes International and just about
all of the local Motor factors and was advised that seal kits were no longer available. The cheapest 'new' master cylinder, as a direct
replacement for ours is about £140

As usual you guys have come up trumps, ordered mine from 'brake parts', great site, lots of info, they even went and checked the position
of the fixings holes for me. Its on it way and provided i do not put fluid in it i can send it back no probelms if it is wrong one
Cheers, Richard.
