How stiff should poly bushed suspension be?
I've had my rear suspension dismantled over winter (ahem, spring!) whilst I paint the chassis and 'bones etc.
Put the bones/bushes back together today and bolted to the chassis. Everything moves as it should (i.e. the poly bush rotates around the crush tube),
but when assembled the whole thing is reasonably stiff.
The whole assembly (excluding shock/spring), so upper bone, lower bone and upright, can be moved up and down with one hand but it's reasonably
"sticktitious" (assembled with Moly grease).
I'll loosen/tighten them again once the car is sat on its wheels under its own weight as I understand you should (though I think this only
applies to rubber bushes that distort rather than rotate), and appreciate that the suspension won't actually move anywhere near as far as
I'm moving it, but just wonder if this is right.
I'm guessing it probably is OK since the forces of weight and loaded suspension will be a hell of a lot more than I can do with my one hand, but
just like some confirmation really

My MGB feels really firm too after fitting a full set of polly bushes, non of the soggy feel which was there before, so I'd recon yours is
right, its just the suspension is much better located now.
