brake stuff, where from?
Hi all,
I want to start on my brake lines pretty soon, but dont know where to look to get parts!
I need all the piping and unions etc.
First thing is what do i need? how much do i need? and wheres the best place to get it from.
IM using a Sierra master cylinder so i need the right unions to go into this.
I also need some of the plug things that go in to the top of the sierra MC and some hose to go upto my resevoir. (im using the original BMW resevoir
as it already has a third hose off it for the clutch.
Thanks
Mikkel

i just changed my master and am going remote reservoir,i couldn't find the "spouts"(fitted to fiat 124/127/128 ) that go into the
master so am having some made.

I do have a tool to put flares on.
Is there any difference in pipes? or is it all a standard size?
Do you know what size unions i need to go in the sierra MC?
D you have any dimensions of the spouts to go in the MC?

As far as suppliers go I used Rally Design and BGC Motorsport. Later is always helpful and despatches quickly. Pipe bender from Machine Mart
Pipe for main runs is best in Kunifer (copper/nickel - slightly harder to bend than copper but more durable) but make sure it's marked as brake
pipe. Lots of P clips to attach to the bodywork.
I used silicone fluid as it has a higher boiling point but you can't (as far as I know) mix and match it with components that have used ordinary
mineral fluid.
