lightweight rear hubs

im wanting to replace my standard sierra ones for something a bit lighter, does anyone know who does them? something similar to the raceleda front uprights...

Do you mean the hubs or the bearing carriers? There's a few places that do alloy bearing carriers but I don't know of any alloy hubs as they would still have to take the splined shafts and probably wouldn't last very long.

yea, it would be the bearing carriers, come to think of it, half and prop shafts too... do you have any names of companies i can check out?

If it's carriers for drum bake Sierra then drdracing.co.uk do them and I think Steve at Aries Motorsport said he could get disc brake versions (with the mounting lugs for calipers I assume). I'm not sure who does gun drilled driveshafts any more and I think that the only way you'll save weight on a propshaft is to go for a carbon one (which are available) or titanium/carbon hybrid from somewhere like Torqline. The propshaft isn't that heavy considering what it is/does anyway.

i know its not what you're asking, but there's nothing wrong with alloy hubs btw
i've got the on mine, and the trucks have raced with them for many years (though they did change to steel a few years ago to fit with the regs)
the splines on mine are still spot on, and they were second hand

think the group 4 rally escorts do too

just in case you considered doing it too.
