taper reamers - uk supply
Anyone know a supplier of a range of these things. I don't want a "hand" one - it has to go in a drill & modify front uprights!
I'm not entirely sure yet what "slope" I need.
PS - if someone describes a taper as 1 in 8 I assume this includes the angle on both sides???
cheers

'Special Service Metal Cutting Tools'
01293 774911
They're very helpful and do mail order
It'll be about £70 though.
If its for the steering arms it's 7degrees.. and can I borrow or rent it after ?

MK will do it while you wait, it must be cheaper than buying a reamer, plus the bonus of having a look how they do things while you wait.

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

Gordon's right
Whilst it might be a bargain in Soho and parts of Brum, £70 is a lot to pay for two holes in Knutsford

1 in 8 taper means that it changes diameter 1 cm for every 8cm of length or as they call them in the US 1 1/2 " in 12". I think the actual
angle is something like 7degrees 15minutes included angle whatever that means, I think it is the angle between the centre line & one side of the
taper if that makes sense. Someone who knows?
Cheers, Steve.
