Ford Sierra identification
I found a Ford Sierra on the internet.
Description says it is a 2.0i CLX, automatic , ABS (so brake discs all round).
I contacted the seller and he sent me the following info : 11/1991 -- BFG 201K Engine N9
After some googling and forum searching I found N9 means 2.0i DOHC.
But I'm not sure about the diff: is this 3.62 or 3.38 - LSD or not - bolt on shafts or not ?
Can some one help me starting from BFG 201K Engine N9 or should I ask additional info to the seller ?

the only way to be certain is to get the diff code..... which may alert the seller and the price may go up.
Bolt on shafts with it being rear disks.
Haynes manual says 3.62 with it being fuel injected. It would have been 3.38 if it was carb.

99% sure that will be a 3.62 from my experiences of dif hunting. Look for an automatic pinto if you are looking for a 3.38 diff

If it is 3.62; will it be LSD ?

LSD only on the 4x4 Sierra's 3.6 for a V6 4x4 and 3.9 for a 20L DOHC 4x4.

I will ask the owner ,but where is the position of the diff code (should be like f.e. 83BG-4033-BA ) ? Is it on the back plate ? Don't know it
is easy to read when it's still in the car.

It's on an aluminium tag held in place by one of the diff casing bolts.
They're pretty fragile though, and often not in place.

The owner got under his car and found the tag. It says 85GG BC 362
I suppose it's a 3.62; 85GG should be the casing type, but don't know what "BC" means.
