mk2 escort racks
need some kind of rack lock stops
not sure where they go on the rack though?
traced some to cat motorsport but they won't take any kind of plastic ....
any ideas?

Proper job would be to take the ends off the rack & simply slip peices of tube in & reassemble.
Obviously this ain't an easy job, an alternative is to bend strips of 2.5mm (guess) steel round the rack inboard of where the ends screw on
& this would be perfectly effective. If you're worried you could tack the bent ends together without affecting the heat treatment of the
rack itself whatsoever. This is easy & safe to do - the worst that could happen is that it would fall off & you'd notice something
rubbing when you were parking.
