Can anybody help me I've got. The standard ford focus alternator the one with the big rad wire and 3smaller wires ones red blue and grey how do I wire it up to charge me battery it's not charging the battery at all I've got the big red one going bk to the battery is this right and what are the other 3 wires for and how do I wire it up please help the engine is the ford focus st170 using the megasquirt Ecu v3 and the fuse box is the one from kitcarbuilder solution called the ignition modular that cost 90uid allium one wiring solution

I seem to recall that the regulator for these is fed by a signal from the Ford ECU so they're not easy to interface to a Megasquirt...? That's certainly how they are on the Fiesta.

I think you may need to find an alternative alternator... but I'll wait for other comments!
