Best is a difficult thing to gauge as I've only got a sample of one - mine
However mine has worked for 5 years and covered about 8000 miles - and it's mounted inside the rear wheel.
The sensor is mounted by the drum brake on the back axle and the magnet is glued inside the wheel rim, I've never had any issues with it except
at the SVA test where we had to adjust it because the rollers (steel) were interfering with the signal and causing the speed readings to be out. Got
it adjusted to the SVA Testers satisfaction and then put it back afterwards.

I take it the car is already on the road? I don't think IVA allows bicycle speedos any more

Yes, I though the same, bicycle speedos are now a no-no for IVA.

Yeah the car is already registered, Just thought about mounting on the gearbox flange as you can adjust the tire size from 0mm
