Track rod ends

Hi fella

Im hoping to clean up my front suspension over the winter along with an engine change and alot of other mods

I spotted this set of Ball joints and track ends on Ebay

Front Hub, Joint Kit saver pack, Locost, westfield on eBay (end time 26-Jan-11 21:00:47 GMT)

the problem however is that the ad states the track rod ends are from a MKII RS2000 escort and Ive read in a recent thread that these wont for the cortina uprights (which I have)

So would this pack not be much good to me?

does anyone know where I can get a set like this for a similar price?

Thanks in advance

Patrick

Is this the thread you are talking about?

I'm not sure if the RS2000 are different to standard MkII Escort though, someone should be along with the requisite knowledge

Found another link here which I think answers the question.

Track rods

Yep I found out the hard way that RS2000 ones don't fit cortina uprights.

The maxi ball joints also look to be the type that are pressed together ftom the top and not the bottom as per Qh parts. There have been a few threads about these being less up to the job than the Qh part

Yes the ball joints look like Hillman Hunter rather than Maxi
