type 9 reverse light switch?
Is this the bit on the right side of the gearbox just below the gear lever? There are 2 little contacts that look like they should have a plug or
somesuch on them.
As I'm not going to run a reverse light I want to take this bit off as it falls right where the 2 vertical tubes are in my chassis where the
tranny tunnel narrows with my engine mounted. Looks like part of it unscrews with a largish spanner. would i ned to put something in place to blank it
off?
Anyone confirm/see any probs in doing this?
cheers,
Ned.

The switch only goes into the bit where the gearstick fits - no oil there, so no leaks! You might like to put some sort of bung in the hole, if only
to stop the dirt getting in (but it's not a big issue, really)

Thanks, this is good news. There was very minimal clearance as it is, that'll be coming off tomorrow then!
cheers,
Ned.
