weight of 13in alloys?

Quick question to the massive. Can someone give me an idea as to what the weight of a 13in x 6.5 in minilight or revolution wheel is? (without tyre).

That way I can compare against the 15in I have now and or look at other options.
cheers
Craig

Depending on what it is, anywhere between 4 and 6kgs is normal.

There can be overlap in weight between even cast 13" and 15" eg 13x6 Compomotive CXR's are approx 5Kg but so are OZ Super / Ultraleggera in 15x7.

Depends what you have at the moment and what you're thinking of getting as to whether you'll see a weight saving.

There are other issues in terms of tyre availability and also differing sidewall heights for the same overall diameter influencing handling etc.

Hobbsy,

I used to have 195/50 tyres on 15 inch OZ superleggera on the car, until it met with a fated trackday which took them out of use. I then refitted a set of 15in wheels using some never heard of allloy wheel..which are not super heavy, but they are heavier that the OZ's that I had on.

I have hunted high and low for a replacement set of OZ's but not found a set to date.

So was thinking of going from 15 to 13 inch wheels, and get some 13 inch yokahama track day specials for the car.

Cheers
Craig

I have found a set of 13 inch alloys that weigh 5.6kg each, which was the reason for my oringial post.

All other things being equal 13" A048's or R888's are cheaper than their 15" equivalents. Also you can pick up cheap used 13" slicks for £20 a corner or less.

You can buy Ultraleggeras new still and if you need the RWD Ford PCD (ET19) you can order them in Pug fitment but then ask for the Ford spigot rings (63.5mm ID). They are about £100 last time I looked, plus rubber.
